It is an ideal product for caregivers with patients who are a fall or wander risk. It comes with a monitoring sensor and flexible wire connection that increases reliability. Unlike sensor pads that are placed on the mattress, this alarm system is placed under the mattress, which reduces false alarms. This is especially beneficial for restless individuals.
It has an alarm feature that alerts when a resident comes off of the sensor pad and a low battery alarm. The low battery alarm alerts when batteries are low or if the A/C adaptor is not in use. It is easily installed and can be connected to a facilities nurse-call system. The mattress pad is protected against incontinence and general wear from the mattress. The pad stays in place, which reduces false alarms (ideal for restless patients). It is diagonally tapered and initiates the alarm when a patient or resident moves or sits toward the edge of the bed. Because it is placed under the mattress, it does not affect the pressure-relieving quality of the mattress.
