The Gel-Foam Cushion by Skil-Care is a water-based cushion that reduces the amount of pressure and friction on the skin during extended periods of sitting, which can cause pressure ulcers. It can be attached to a variety of chairs, such as Standard, Bariatric or Electric Wheelchairs and allows the individual to experience alternating pressure relief and distribution. It is easily fastened to the chair with an adjustable clasp and water-based, which lowers interface pressure and cools to minimize pressure. It is made from high-density foam that prevents the cushion from flattening. The low-shear cover is launderable and the vinyl cover is removable for quick and simple cleaning.
