Where to begin. First off, I have been a nurse for 23 years so I have seen every imaginable kind of bed pad. I have a handicap son who has been using bed pads for 17 years. So. I almost feel like an expert . These are not only extremely soft to the skin, they stay soft wash after wash after wash. They have barely if really any shrinkage. They are a big size and I love that since I use the bed pads to position him. They are extremely absorbent. They don't bunch up, like many pads the tops will become separated from the bottom side causing wrinkling which then can cause skin issues. These have never done this. I still have pads we use after 2 years. The only complaint I have is they are not stain resistant. I will also state I don't treat these prior to washing due to his skin issues with chemicals. So that help , but I can't say. Another factor I love is they don't retain heat. He has temperature issues and will sweat on other pads and it isn't the case with these, which also helps prevent skin breakdown. There is always amount of the person sliding on pads just due to how far you elevate them, but I can say my son doesn't slide down near as much as these stay in place under him and stay in place on the sheets. Overall I would give these a 10 stars if possible.
